    Eric Haydock died aged seventy-five of undisclosed causes on 5th January 2019. Eric was born Eric John Haddock on 3rd February 1943 in Stockport, Cheshire, United Kingdom. He was the original bass guitarist of The Hollies from December 1962 until July 1966 and one of the first Britishphoto of Eric Haydock musicians to play a Fender Bass VI, a six-string bass guitar. Eric, however, was replaced in 1966 by Bernie Calvert, after disputes related to the conduct of the Holllies' managers.

    Eric had enjoyed playing on the UK hit singles; (Ain't That) Just Like Me, number 25 in 1963, Searchin', number 12 in 1963, STAY, number 8 in 1963, Just One Look, number 2 in 1964, Here I Go Again, number 4 in 1964, We're Through, number 7 in 1964, Yes I Will, number 9 in 1965, I'm Alive, number 1 in 1965, Look Through Any Window, number 4 in 1965 and If I Needed Someone in 1965 before he had to leave the group.

    On 15th March 2010, Eric Haydock along with other fellow Hollies was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
